These policies ensure that every appointment runs smoothly, your time is honored, and your experience at Chelsea Jae Hair remains intentional and professional. Please review before booking.

Scheduling + Pre-Booking Policies

Booking Requirements

All appointments must be booked online through the booking system. A deposit may be required to secure your appointment, and remaining balances are due at the time of service.

Please make sure you are selecting the correct service category before booking. If you are unsure which service is right for you, please review the service descriptions or reach out before scheduling.

Appointments booked under the wrong category may be adjusted or canceled if the service does not allow enough time, preparation, or consultation for your hair needs.

Client Scheduling

If you are a new client, or if it has been more than 3 months since your last appointment, please begin with a New Client Session.

Your first appointment allows time for a proper hair assessment, service recommendations, and a personalized care plan. After your initial visit, you may book from the Returning Client menu based on your maintenance needs.

Returning Client services are reserved for established clients who have already completed a new client appointment and are maintaining their hair on a consistent schedule.

Consultations

Consultations are required for premium extension services, select color services, major transformations, corrective care, and some specialty services.

Luxury extensions such as microlinks, I-tips, tape-ins, braidless installs, and other premium services require approval before booking. Virtual consultations may be available for DMV, travel, or out-of-area clients.

Minors + Age Requirements

Chelsea Jae Hair primarily services clients ages 15 and older. Minors under 16 may be accompanied by one adult guest when necessary. For the best experience, appointments should be booked for minors who can sit independently for the full service.

Clients under 15 are not accepted for most salon services unless approved in advance for a specific service or circumstance.

Color services, premium extension services, and chemical or specialty services are reserved for clients ages 18 and older.

Premium Extension Services

For quality control, Chelsea Jae Hair may supply or recommend the hair used for premium extension services, including microlinks, I-tips, tape-ins, and other luxury install methods.

If you would like to provide your own hair, it must be approved before your install appointment. Hair that has not been approved may not be used and will void any courtesy service adjustments.

Extension deposits are non-refundable due to the time, planning, and preparation involved. Some extension services may require a hair deposit, service deposit, or both before scheduling is confirmed.

Payment & Refund Policy

Deposits & payments

  • A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure your appointment. Deposits are applied toward your final balance unless otherwise stated.

  • Accepted payment methods may include Cash App, Apple Pay, exact cash, or approved online payment methods. Payment plan options may be available for qualifying services through providers such as Klarna, Afterpay, or similar platforms when offered.

  • Remaining balances are due at the time of service.

Refund Policy

  • All purchases, deposits, memberships, and services are final and non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

  • If there is a concern with your service, please contact Chelsea Jae Hair within 48 hours so the issue can be reviewed. While refunds are not offered, reasonable adjustments may be considered when appropriate.

Cancellations, Lateness, & Rescheduling

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Please cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours in advance.

  • Cancellations, rescheduling requests, or changes made with less than 48 hours’ notice may result in forfeiture of your deposit and/or a 50% cancellation fee. Same-day cancellations are considered last-minute changes and may be subject to an additional fee.

  • If you need to reschedule, please use your confirmation or reminder email when available. Repeated last-minute changes may affect your ability to book future appointments.

No Shows & Last-Minute Changes

  • Clients who do not show up for their appointment without notice will forfeit their deposit and may be charged a 75% no-show fee.

  • After repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations, future booking privileges may be limited or declined.

Please understand that last-minute openings are difficult to refill, especially for longer services, premium services, and traveling/pop-up appointments.

Arrival

  • Please arrive no more than 10 minutes early and no later than 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time.

  • If you arrive late, your service may need to be adjusted to fit the remaining appointment time. If you arrive 30 minutes late or more, your appointment may need to be rescheduled and your deposit may be forfeited.

Arriving on time helps protect the quality of your service and the experience of clients scheduled after you.

Salon Experience

Device Usage

Phones, tablets, and laptops are welcome during your appointment, especially for clients who may need to work remotely during longer services. Please keep in mind that your service still requires access to your hair, head positioning, and your attention at certain points throughout the appointment.

Remote work, meetings, phone calls, or device use should not interfere with the timing, safety, or quality of your service. Headphones are required for calls, music, videos, or virtual meetings, and volume should remain at a respectful level.

If device use, calls, or work responsibilities begin to interrupt the service, you may be asked to pause or adjust so your appointment can continue smoothly.

Health + Safety

Please reschedule your appointment if you are feeling unwell, showing symptoms of illness, or have recently been exposed to a contagious condition.

Your safety and comfort are important. Please notify Chelsea Jae Hair in advance of any allergies, sensitivities, scalp conditions, medical concerns, or accommodations that may affect your service.

While precautions are taken during every appointment, Chelsea Jae Hair is not responsible for reactions or concerns that were not disclosed prior to service.

Appointment Communications

Please make sure your email address and phone number are accurate when booking.

Appointment confirmations, reminders, location details, parking information, and arrival instructions are sent electronically. You may receive a confirmation email after booking, a reminder email before your appointment, and a text reminder when available.

Please review all appointment messages carefully, especially for travel appointments and location-specific instructions.
